Silverlight Stream: Silverlight 4 - The Do's and Don'ts of Rich Client Development
The speed at which Silverlight has matured over the past few years is mind-boggling. It has evolved from a media-based platform to a full-fledged line-of-business platform that is gaining traction. With this traction comes many questions: Should Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or Silverlight out-of-browser (OOB) be used for desktop development? How strictly should the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) pattern be followed? How do Prism and the Managed Extensibility Framework (MEF) fit into the mix? and How do they compliment one another? These questions will be addressed during the presentation.

Speaker: Evan Hutnick
Evan Hutnick is a Developer Evangelist at Telerik, a provider of development tools and user interface components for .Net. Specializing in Silverlight and WPF, he works on both product development and education of customers and the community at large. Evan has also begun speaking in the northeast region and has been actively working on several independent Silverlight projects.
