Brent Watson on Python

The Regina Technology Community welcomes Brent Watson!

Topic: More advanced Python stuff
This talk will be a continuation from the python talk we had last year. Brent will quickly re-cap on the basics of the language for those who are unfamiliar with python, and then dive into more advanced code examples, libraries, and development features in python. No previous python experience is necessary.

Speaker: Brent Watson
Brent is one of the Regina Technology Community facilitators. He has over 10 years of software development experience working for companies such as GE Healthcare, SaskTel, and IDnoodle. Brent has an extensive background in Java development, though most recently he has been working on mobile applications with Python backends. Brent has authored a book on the Stripes framework, has spoken at Prairie Dev Con, and is currently acting as a Technical Editor for Manning Publications Co. Brent's presentations are always flashy and interactive. Be sure to come out for his python talk. Whether you have never touched Python before or if you are an expert, there will be something for everyone.
